Job Function

    Operations
  • Conduct and/or lead in-house reservoir development and reservoir evaluation projects. This would include both field reviews and updating of numerical simulation models.
  • Work within an asset team with the aim to establish and develop strategies to improve field production and recovery.
  • Provide production forecasts for annual planning and reserve reporting.
  • Perform Reservoir Engineering studies related to classical analytical techniques (material balance analysis, fractional flow, decline analysis, numerical techniques) for primary depletion and secondary recovery (water/gas injection) projects.
  • To attend data rooms, to gather and evaluate information and provide reservoir engineering input to the asset evaluation report.
  • Coordinates Field Development Plan.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience Required

  • Master or Bachelor Degree in Petroleum Engineering, Physics or Mathematics or similar degree A good level of experience of the oil industry and an excellent working knowledge of all aspects of Reservoir Engineering including Reservoir Simulation. Previous experience in field development activities is essential, whereas exposure to operations in developing countries would be useful. Required is a minimum of 10 years industry experience with a range of studies and operating experiences. Minimum of 5 years in Reservoir Engineering.

  • Willingness to travel overseas and to accept short (up to 2 months) and long term (up to 3 years) work assignments with Addax Petroleum Operating Companies in West Africa and the Middle East.

It would be advantageous to have the following additional experience and skills

  • Operational experience in West Africa and/or Middle-East, preferably with an Operating oil company.
  • Operational experience as a wellsite geologist, preferably with an Operating oil company.
  • Strong skills in the use of ECLIPSE software.
