Registrar and Transfer Agent / Dividend Disbursing Agent
Computershare Investor Services Inc. (“Computershare”), at its principal office in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, is the registrar and transfer agent for the common shares (the “Common Shares”) of Addax Petroleum Corporation (“Addax Petroleum”). Computershare also distributes dividends to the registered shareholders of Addax Petroleum.
Book Entry System / Registered Shareholders
Addax Petroleum’s Common Shares are held in book entry form. The book entry certificate representing Addax Petroleum’s Common Shares is issued in registered form to The Canadian Depository for Securities Limited (“CDS”) and has been deposited with CDS. Addax Petroleum has only one (1) registered shareholder (CDS).
Beneficial Shareholders
Other shareholders of Addax Petroleum are known as non-registered or beneficial owners of Addax Petroleum Common Shares. Addax Petroleum does not have records that identify who the non-registered or beneficial shareholders are. Common Shares owned by a non-registered or beneficial shareholder are held by the shareholder’s broker, bank or other nominee.
Beneficial Shareholders – Dividends
In accordance with Canadian Revenue Authority guidelines, all dividends paid by the Corporation are eligible dividends unless indicated otherwise.
Computershare does not deliver dividends to non-registered or beneficial shareholders of Addax Petroleum. Instead, the dividends are delivered to the non-registered or beneficial shareholder’s broker, bank, or other nominee. The non-registered or beneficial shareholder’s broker, bank or nominee then distributes the dividends to the non-registeredor beneficial owner of the Common Shares.
