Beijing, August 28, 2009 - In celebration of the takeover of Addax Petroleum Corporation by Sinopec International, an inauguration ceremony took place on August 28 in the Sinopec offices. Sinopec is one of the largest oil and gas producers in China, the biggest oil refiner in Asia, and the third largest worldwide. Mr. Geng Xianliang is the new Chief Executive Officer of Addax Petroleum and Mr. Jean Claude Gandur has been appointed Vice-Chairman.
Cameroon, April 6, 2009 - In celebration of the International Women’s Day, the female employees of Addax Petroleum Cameroon Ltd gave a helping hand to the children of the Clephic orphanage at Ekondo Titi in the Ndian region, where the company’s activities take place. Food, candy, toys, medicine, cutlery and bed sheets, amongst other things, were donated to the orphanage. In addition to this on-going support, Addax Petroleum Cameroon is planning to discuss this week the possibility of building a new orphanage on a piece of land which would be provided by the local authorities.
Gabon, January 30, 2009 - A listening post has been installed in the village of Tsika. This will enable the population to gather for meetings and special events. The village of Omengo has also been provided with new facilities: a medical dispensary for the use of its own inhabitants and villagers from Guivanga, Fouanou and Gambou-Mondi. The dispensary can receive up to four patients under observation and an attending physician is on duty.
Dubai, October 19, 2008 - Addax Petroleum Corporation announced the opening of a new office in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The new office will support the Corporation's strategy to build a strong foothold in the Middle East, as Addax Petroleum expands on its existing interests in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, and will be managed by Mr. Leslie Blair, Managing Director, Middle East. The office was inaugurated on October 16, 2008 in the presence of a number of local dignitaries from the oil and gas industry and the Ambassadors of Canada and of Switzerland. It is located within the Jebel Ali Free Zone, the largest free economic zone in the Gulf and one of the largest in the world, home to many of the largest companies in the oil and gas industry in the Middle East.

Madrid, July 3, 2008 - Addax Petroleum Corporation was granted the "Large Independent Award" for 2007 by Petroleum Africa. This oil & gas magazine is dedicated to the petroleum industry in Africa and has set up an Independents Survey & Awards initiative. The companies' performance is determined using a set of criteria including the total African acreage, number of discoveries, total African production, total African exit reserves, technical achievements, overall progress in Africa over the year and major milestones in Africa.

Lagos, June 1, 2008 - APDNL celebrated 10 years of operations in Nigeria. A number of Nigerian officials and VIPs attended the ceremony.
